I'm so excited that NSA/MFA has found a new home - the facility chosen is one that I scouted several years ago and had thought at that time that the proximity to the Mississippi River was great. Also, I liked that location because of the potential for attracting more "at-risk" kids from the district - this was always a goal of ours for MFA. I hope more free/reduced-lunch kids will be able to enroll in the school in coming years.

Jim and I love the name change - the Natural Science Academy (named in honor of Michael) is just perfect.

Keep up the great work - we're so pleased with the success of the school, and we know how hard you all have been working.

Our name change is official per the MN Secretary of State. Michael Frome Academy will now be known as “Natural Science Academy”. Our hope is that our new name will let people know what we are about. We want to recognize Michael Frome for whom this school was named so we will include a line that says, “a school named for environmentalist, Michael Frome”. We have a new logo (see the PDF version of the newsletter linked above) that is in process and will be updating the website. Lots of new and exciting changes!

Thanks to the help of MFA Staff and friends, we have officially moved out of the 8500 Woodbury Crossing site and into our new site! Our new home is located at 920 Holley Avenue in St. Paul Park at the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish (STA). This site was a former private school and housed a preschool for many years. Currently, it is used for religious education classes and parish activities which we will share with them. There is beautiful outside space surrounding the building and we are close to many outdoor opportunities – the Mississippi River is just down the road! We are excited about this opportunity! Please join us at our new site - 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park - on Tuesday, July 20th from 5:30- 7:00pm for an Ice Cream Social - Open House. We will have ice cream treats, show you around the new building and spend time with our friends. In case of inclement weather, Wednesday, July 21st will be our back-up date and Thursday, July 22nd will be back-up date #2. Mark your calendars!
